Bucknell in Washington, D.C.

Bucknell in Washington, D.C., is an internship program offered during the spring of each academic year, and is open to all qualified juniors. The program will be led by a Bucknell University faculty member, who will design and teach two courses based around a particular theme or their own field of expertise. 

In addition to the two Bucknell University-taught courses, students will enroll in an internship and additional program-themed course administered by American University professors. As part of the internship course, American University will train students on how to seek out and find relevant internships for the program.

Students will be housed on the campus of American University, will have access to all American University campus amenities, and will be allowed to participate in all campus social activities. 

Credits earned on Bucknell in Washington, D.C., will transfer as Bucknell University credits, and may fulfill major/minor or College Core Curriculum requirements.
