Entrance Deferral

A student may elect to defer enrollment for one or two years after being admitted. Requests must be submitted in writing to the dean of admissions any time between receipt of an offer of admission and July 1. A non-refundable deposit will be required to hold this space. Deferrals are typically granted to students who desire to engage in personal enrichment or community service activities. Students may not request a delay in their Bucknell enrollment to attend full-time a secondary school, college, or university. Requests may be declined for any reason.
