LAMS 228. Violence and Human Rights in Latin America. 1 Credit.

This course will unpack the historical, political, and cultural roots of different forms of violence and conflict in the region through in-depth country case studies. We will consider how food both brings people together, and creates divisions between them, through an in-depth examination of the cases of French and Andean (South American) cuisines.
