Addresses engineering principles in production, processing and measurement of particles sized from the nanoscale to the macroscale applied to pharmaceutical production, drug delivery, air pollution, nanotechnology, paints and coatings, industrial chemicals and agricultural products. Topics: particle motion, size distributions, analysis methods, storage, flow, mixing, segregation, safety and hazards. Prerequisites: BMEG 300 or ENGR 222 or ENGR 233 or MECH 213.
