This course explores: the politics and geographies of nationalism; how nature is nationalized; the various ways ethnocentrism, racism, and sexism become part of national identity construction; ideas about and representations of nature in environmental contestations and in reactions to nationalism; and the intersection of nationalism with other social constructions.
