The study of history stimulates our imagination, cultivates critical thinking, and develops the skills necessary for communicating complex arguments. The fundamental academic projects of researching, writing and speaking, as well as learning to analyze various sources (i.e., information literacy), are integral to the discipline of history and figure strongly in all of the department’s courses.
