This course explores German film between 1919 and 1933, examining it as a modern art form that exerted a profound influence on Hollywood and global cinema. So-called Weimar Cinema was particularly influential in shaping the horror, film noir and science fiction genres, and it continues to inspire filmmakers and artists to this day. Taught in English.
