This course explores linguistic diversity and how it shapes teaching and learning in US schools. This course is designed to develop critical language awareness by examining language ideologies. We will discuss ways to recognize the linguistic resources and experiences of diverse students and identify pedagogical strategies that promote educational equity. Crosslisted as EDUC 275.
